Congrats Kapara ("we", "our", or "app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address and encrypted password, used to create and manage your account via Firebase Authentication.
Voice recordings: when you use the voice input feature, audio is processed on-device by Apple's Speech Recognition framework. The transcribed text is sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate your greeting. We do not store raw audio files.
Text input: text you type is sent to Google's Gemini API solely to generate a personalized greeting.
Greeting history: generated greetings and basic metadata (relationship, tone, language, date) are stored locally on your device using CoreData.
App preferences: your app language and onboarding status are saved locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and secure your account.
To generate personalized greetings using AI.
To display your greeting history within the app.
To show rewarded ads via Google AdMob (see section 4).

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google): used for email/password authentication and email verification. Firebase Privacy Policy
Google Gemini API: your text input is sent to Gemini to generate greeting content. Google may process this data per their Privacy Policy. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in your input.
Apple Speech Recognition: when using voice input, audio is processed by Apple on-device and/or via Apple servers. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob: we show rewarded video ads to unlock content generation. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and usage data per Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising

Congrats Kapara uses Google AdMob to display rewarded video ads. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in your iPhone settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. Data Storage & Security

Greeting history is stored locally on your device and is encrypted at rest when your device is locked.
We do not operate our own servers that store your personal data beyond what Firebase requires for authentication.
Your password is never stored by us — Firebase handles authentication securely.

6. Data Retention

Your greeting history stays on your device until you delete the app. Your Firebase account remains active until you request deletion. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

Congrats Kapara is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
You may clear your local greeting history within the app.
You may opt out of personalized ads via your device's privacy settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
